February 9, 2026 - New Recommendation Engine & Assessment Interface
We’re excited to share that Welbi has two new feature updates available for your team: A new and improved recommendation engine, and a refreshed assessment page experience.
What’s New
-
A new and improved Recommendation Engine
-
A refreshed Assessment Page interface
No action is required to access these updates — they’re already available in your Welbi account.
New & Improved Recommendation Engine
Welbi’s recommendation engine has been upgraded to provide more accurate, meaningful participant suggestions for programs.
Smarter Program Matching
The system now considers a broader set of attributes when identifying best-fit residents, including:
-
Resident hobbies and interests
-
Level of care
-
Location
-
Program title and category
-
Program facilitator
This helps surface participants who are more likely to enjoy and engage with each program.
Recent Attendance Insights
Welbi now looks at programs residents have attended in the past 30 days and recommends similar upcoming opportunities — even when the program name or category is different.
For example, if a resident recently attended a gardening activity, Welbi may suggest a botanical garden outing because it recognizes the underlying connection between the two experiences.
Weighted Recommendations
Certain factors now carry more influence in the recommendation process, including:
-
Move-in date
-
Level of care
This weighting helps ensure recommendations are relevant and appropriate for each resident’s current situation.
What You’ll See in Welbi
These enhancements work entirely behind the scenes. Your workflow stays the same, and the “likelihood to attend” badges will appear just as they always have — powered by stronger intelligence.
You may also notice short explanations beside recommendations (such as “Attended 3 similar programs in the past 30 days” or “Care level match”) to provide added clarity on why a resident is being suggested.
Updated Assessment Page Interface
We’ve also refreshed the look and feel of the Assessments page to make it clearer and easier to navigate while completing assessments.
What’s Changed
-
Clear red indicators now highlight which questions are required
-
A completion tracker at the bottom of the page counts all required questions, making it easier to see what still needs to be completed before publishing
These visual updates are designed to reduce guesswork and help staff move through assessments with greater confidence and efficiency.
No Action Required
Both updates are already live in Welbi. Your team can continue working as usual while immediately benefiting from smarter recommendations and a clearer assessment experience.
If you have questions or would like help exploring these updates, please reach out to your Welbi contact or our support team — we’re happy to help.
