Program Insights

Leveraging the 'Resident Hobbies vs. Programs Offered' Insight to ensure your offerings are aligned with resident interests

This insight makes it easy to see whether your programming aligns with the hobbies and interests of your residents

The "Resident Hobbies vs. Programs Offered" insight is found under the "Programs" tab of the Insights section.  This insight helps you understand whether the programs you're offering are aligned with the hobbies and interests that have been entered in your resident profiles or assessments, and identify areas for improvement.

This insight is a table with three columns:

  • In the "Category" column, you'll see the name of a hobby or interest.
  • The "Time Offered" column tells who how many times you've offered a program related to this hobby during the chosen timeframe.
  • The "Residents Interested" column tells you how many residents have this hobby listed in their profile or assessment.

For instance, in the example below, we can see that although we have 7 residents interested in gardening, we aren't offering any programs related to gardening at this time. Perhaps we could look into starting a gardening club or program!

The "Resident Hobbies vs. Programs Offered" insight shows data for the top 5 resident hobbies within your community as a starting point, but you can click View All at the bottom of the insight to see this data for every single hobby that has been entered into a resident's profile or assessment.

As residents move in and out of your community, it's a good idea to review this insight regularly to keep tabs on whether your program offerings are continuing to meet the interests of your resident population. If you notice that your programs that do not match the hobbies of your residents, perhaps there is an opportunity to swap them out for something else!
