What's New in Welbi?

February 23 2024 - Role-based permissions are finally here!

Role-based permissions are finally here!!! 👏

Depending on your organization's policies, these new role options may present an opportunity to extend Welbi access to volunteers, students, and team members from other departments within your organization!

Intro to Welbi User Roles

We now have 5 user roles available so you can adjust each user's level of access to align with their responsibilities.

  • View-Only: for those who need view-only access to all areas of Welbi (e.g., analysts, team members from other departments, etc), but shouldn't be able to make changes of any kind.

  • Volunteer: for those who need Welbi access solely to assist with programs and logging attendance.

  • Team Member: for those who need Welbi access to assist with programs, log attendance, and enter resident information, but shouldn't be able to make changes to the calendar.

  • Team Member - Enhanced: for those who need full access to all areas of the Welbi platform, but shouldn't be able to make changes to the community's Welbi settings.

  • Welbi Admin:  for those who need full access to all areas of the Welbi platform, including the community's Welbi settings (where permitted by your organization).

What This Means for Your Team

For existing users:

  • All existing users have been assigned the "Welbi Admin" role, unless otherwise specified by your organization.
  • We recommend that department managers take this opportunity to review their employee list and update user roles as needed by following these steps.

For new users:

  • If your community adds new users via email invitation, you'll have the opportunity to specify their role when sending the invite.
  • If your community accesses Welbi using PointClickCare single sign-on, new users will be assigned the "Team Member - Enhanced" role the first time they log in, unless otherwise specified by your organization. Any user with the Welbi Admin role can then adjust their role as needed.
